What is deadstock fabric?

Here at Retribe Clothing LTD we only manufacture from material or products that are destined for landfill or that are clogging up warehouses.

We aim to prevent as much of that stuff going to landfill, or worst being incinerated.

We have a goal of salvaging over 100,000 tents in our lifetime and preventing them going to landfills around the world, each tent has almost 10 metres of fabric, meaning if we achieve that, we would save 1,000,000 metres of fabric (approx) going to landfill sites! Mega ay?

But as well as tents we want to use up the textile industries deadstock fabric and products... but what is deadstock fabric, sounds cool right?

Deadstock fabric is like the unsung hero of the fashion world! It's basically the leftover fabric that didn't make it into the original production run. Instead of letting it go to waste, savvy designers give it a second chance to shine. It's kind of like a treasure hunt for fabrics – you never know what gems you might find in terms of colors, patterns, and textures. Plus, the best part is that by using deadstock fabric, we're not just creating cool and unique pieces, but we're also doing our part to reduce waste and be eco-friendly. It's a win-win situation that adds a touch of sustainability and style to the fashion scene, and we are here for it.

Utilising waste, remade in Sheffield.
